Tree Care Industry Association and ArborTech Host Congressman Chris Pappas and Industry Leaders for a Comprehensive Site Visit and Roundtable

(Gilford, NH) – The Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) and ArborTech “Tree Removal Experts” facilitated a unique opportunity for Congressman Chris Pappas to engage in a comprehensive site visit showcasing the importance and intricacies of the tree care industry.

During the visit, Congressman Pappas, along with staff from the offices of Congresswoman Kuster (NH-2), Congresswoman Pingree (ME-1), Senator Shaheen (D-NH), and Senator Hassan (D-NH), delved into the significant strides the industry has made to foster safer work environments and understand the numerous challenges facing tree care businesses. Amy Bassett, Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s New Hampshire district office, and Louis Luchini, Region 1 Advocate for the Office of Advocacy in the U.S. Small Business Administration, also enriched the event with their presence.

ArborTech offered a detailed tour of their facility, emphasizing the importance of safety measures and protocols in the industry. Followed by live demonstrations, the event provided participants with a clear understanding of the skills, dedication, and commitment required in arboriculture operations.

This event also served as a valuable platform for an open dialogue about industry challenges. Emphasis was placed on the need for a distinct OSHA safety standard for the tree care industry. The roundtable saw active participation from industry leaders discussing various topics, from custom blends to workforce challenges and immigration reform.

“It was an invaluable experience to have Congressman Chris Pappas and other key officials join us for this event. By walking them through our processes and discussing industry challenges, we hope to foster a greater understanding and appreciation for our profession,” commented Dave White, President & CEO of TCIA.

Courtney Kelly, owner of ArborTech, added, “It’s essential for our elected officials to witness firsthand the intricate work and dedication that goes into tree care. Today’s visit was not just about showcasing our industry but also emphasizing the collaboration, safety, and passion that drives us every day.”
